Career: Service in Seaforth Highlanders of Canada (militia); Served 38 ½ years Royal Canadian Mounted Police -Retired RCMP Staff/Sgt. primarily forensic identification services and as a blood stain pattern analyst and crime scene examiner. Presently consulting with “Mellis & Associates Forensic Consulting Service”.
Favorite Piping Moment:
1. 1988, while on time off from playing at the Edinburgh Tattoo, played a lament at the graveside of my uncle in Chambrecy, France -killed in WW1 with the 6th Battalion Black Watch.
2. 1994, organizing and playing at the Edinburgh Tattoo. The rush of marching and playing through the castle gates onto the Esplanade.
