The Delta Police Pipe Band was formed in 1971 by members of the Delta Police Department in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. Since the Band's inception, it has grown to its present strength of 33 pipers and 20 drummers. The Band is currently under the direction of Pipe Major John Ralston and Drum Major Moe Coll. The band uniform is complemented by the Ancient Smith Tartan, worn in honour of the Band's cofounder, the late Chief Constable M.W.Smith. The band proudly represents the Delta Police Department and the Corporation of Delta, at home and around the world. |

The band performed the Wings Classic "Mull of Kintyre" with Sir Paul as part of his encore. What a thrill performing with Paul McCartney in front of 40,000+ fans.
